Clean Eating Banana Oat Bars

Snack attack ruining your new year’s resolutions?

Don’t let hunger keep you from reaching your goals & sticking to your clean eating plan. Instead, remodel your snacks to fit into a balanced diet without adding any guilt or putting junk into your body. These banana oat bars were a little experiment of mine that turned out to be a huge success. They are clean, full of vitamins & minerals, & balanced with the carbs, fat & protein your body needs. Enjoy after a workout or between meals to curb your cravings!


Banana Oat Bars

Servings: 8


2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 egg + 2 egg whites

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups old-fashioned oats

1/8 cup milled flax seed (or more oats if you don’t have flax)

2 Tbl flax seeds

2 Tbl honey

*Optional: 1/4 cup natural nut butter, protein powder and/or 1/4 cup chopped nuts*


1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, in order, until well mixed.

3. Press mixture into a greased pan (8X8 or 9X9) and bake for about 30 minutes, until firm.
